La Transtica & Solidarity - 2011 Achievements

During La Transtica 2011, and for the 4th consecutive year, El Niño has been able to complete a large number of solidarity actions in Costa Rica and could far exceed its original goals.

In the continuity of our aids in 2008, 2009 and 2010 and according to the needs identified by Elena Arias, we were able to perform throughout La Transtica 2011 many donations.

We got this year more than 12 000 Euros of financing that allowed us to buy locally 320 school kits distributed in 6 schools from Panama and Costa Rica, to achieve 4 projects of renovation for the schools of La Esperanza and El Progreso de Pacayitas, for the sport field of the community of El Humo , and for the library of the school Finca la Caja,  in the disfavored districtof La Carpio nearby San Jose

We also received from the Hopital of Cannes, a monitor ECG (for the dispensary of Londres) and two Lifepak Physio control that has been given to the Red Cross of Puriscal.

La Transtica 2011 Contributions

Our action in Costa Rica and to Panama has been possible through the contribution of:

The financial support of the french associations "Action 18" and "Amicale des Sapeurs Pompiers des Cabriéres", which have made possible the local purchase and the distribution of 320 school kits to the children of schools in Panama and in Costa Rica, whereas the support of the association Run & Trail 3S will allow to finance the project of renovation and furniture equipment of the library of the school “Finca la Caja” in the district disfavored of La Carpio, nearby San Jose.

The financial support of the Comité d’Entreprise Total UES AMONT have permitted to finance 4 renovation projects, to the profit of the schools of “La Esperanza”, “El Progreso de Pacayitas “and “Finca la Caja, and of the sports field of the Community of “El Humo”.

On the top of that we can add a part of the profit from the races that the associations El Nino and CG Sport Event are organizing in France, Le Trail des Balcons d’Azur, La Free Ride Classic Mandelieu and Le Trail des Illuminés as well as the material given by the Hopital of Cannes, a monitor ECG (for the dispensary of Londres) and two Lifepak Physio Control that will be donated to the Red Cross of Puriscal.
